Shokotan Performs “Sailor Star Song”

Friday, January 7th, 2011

Nakagawa Shoko covered the Sailor Moon theme song, Sailor Star Song during her 2010 concert Prism Tour. Dressed as her anime persona from Shokotan☆Cover 3, she sang the song while waving a wand that looks just like the Spiral Heart Moon Rod in Sailor Moon. While Shokotan was giving a marvelous performance, the cameraman also flashed to a Sailor Moon cosplayer in the audience with her Tuxedo Kamen.

Shokotan Cover 3

My copy of Nakagawa Shoko’s latest album Shokotan☆Cover 3 finally came in the mail this morning! YAY!! I haven’t been this happy about a CD release since well… Ever! I am super excited. Its not just because the album contains two new Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon cover songs. Most of the songs from the CD include music from other anime that circulated during the 90′s. Around the same time when Sailor Moon was still broadcasting on television.

Nakagawa Shoko

Good news for Sailor Moon and Nakagawa Shoko music fans! Those of you who are familiar with Nakagawa Shoko, know that she is a die-hard Sailor Moon fan. She cosplays it, buy the toys, and pimps out Sailor Moon’s famous “pose” whenever possible. In one of her previous mini-albums Shokotan☆Cover, she sang the Sailor Moon R ending theme song Otome no Policy. She did an amazing job covering that song, and went on to perform it during her 2009 Magical Tour.
